Take a breather

31 Days of Love Challenge

I hope you all understood the significance of yesterday's challenge and notice how it is not the same as one of the past ones where I asked you to let him enjoy his hobby alone or with friends...in this one, you actually get to get in on the fun with him! (: Today is Friday. The end of a long week! And to celebrate and get ready for the weekend, I have today's challenge!

Day Nineteen

Massage/bath/intimate time. What better way to relax than by giving each other a massage, then enjoy a nice bath with lukewarm water, some fragrant bubbles, and some romantic candles? Nothing in my opinion lol...and who knows? That might lead to an even happier night! ;)

So stock up on the massage oil, bubbles, and candles! You might want to text your man and let him know you have a surprise in stock for him ;) Tell him it's time for him to relax and forget about work. Let him know you will always be there for him to unwind and let go of worries...at least for those couple of hours. If you have kids who are old enough, you might give them an activity for them to do. Or do this after they go to sleep...or put a children's movie for them!
Well hope you guys have a fantastic Friday! I really appreciate you guys joining me in this challenge! At the end I will share what I've learned! Yall know where to reach me, comment below, email me at wife.nextdoor@yahoo.com or tweet me!

Whatever you like, I like...kind of...

31 Days of Love Challenge

What are you guys cooking tonight? Yesterday I forgot to share how one time when I made J choose a recipe, I made it and it became his favorite meal! Now he wants it once a week =P If things don't work out that way, at least your man will see that you tried and you did it for him lol. J hasn't always completely loved everything I've cooked but it's okay because it's part of getting to know each other even more every day. Today's challenge...

Day Eighteen

Take interest in one of his hobbies that you don't really like. Your guy will be blown away by your change in attitude and will love that you are participating and interested too! He might even feel more attracted to you! No joke.

When I met J, his only hobbies were soccer and video games...you  know, typical guy things. One night him and his roommates had a poker night and he sucked. My man is not used to not being good at competitive things, so he started playing for free online and even reading books about it lol. He also joined this free league in the city. After he became better and better, he seemed obsessed with it to the point where poker has annoyed me throughout the years. I realized if I changed my attitude about it, it would be better for both of us. When I actually showed interest and joined in, he loved it and it turned out to be something else we could do together. We started playing in that league together and hosting poker nights at home (which was great for socializing with friends), we went to casinos together, I've watched him play and I cheer for him. So on. I like it to a point but I'm not all into it like him lol, but I'm still there for him.

this was me before J taught me lol

The point of my story is that sometimes we might get annoyed when our men take their hobbies to another level because they spend so much time with it. If you complain that he doesn't spend much time with you, then just change your attitude and YOU join him...you never know, you might actually like it haha. If you try his hobby and still don't like it, he'll notice that you put in effort and be grateful for that. You can still show him you care by continuing to support him in it and listening to his stories about it. The point is just for him to see that you care about that part of his life that seems to be important to him.

Look how cute a golf date can be...him teaching you! Awww

Well with my point made...I wish you guys a nice adventure with this challenge hehe. You know where to reach me, comment below, email me at wife.nextdoor@yahoo.com or tweet me!

Once a month...

 31 Days of Love Challenge

Well I hope everyone had a great date night! If you postponed it, I wish you an amazing time on your next one (:   Like I mentioned, we went to Red Lobster...and of course...instead of getting seafood the ONLY time we go to a seafood restaurant, I got chicken...and totally regretted it. At least that infused strawberry margarita made up for it lol =P

Day Thirteen

Recommend a monthly date. You can do so by reminding your man how great the night went and how happy it makes you to be out with him in an intimate setting. Tell him how much it's needed to be out as a couple at least once a month...it'll do your relationship good! It's just like a car you know, it needs maintenance, check ups, so on...and so do our relationships.

If your man refuses to go out with you it's okay, you can still have your couple time with monthly home dates...just be sure to make it fancy by both of you dressing up, candles, and a great meal! This monthly date should not be taken lightly as a casual event even if you stay home because we hang out with our men everyday casually. It's nice to get dressed up every once in a while and enjoy your partner in that romantic way.

I am dead serious. If there is ONE thing I recommend couples to do is go on a date at least ONCE a month! We do it every anniversary day...we have since we starting our relationship 3 1/2yrs ago actually. Well that's today's challenge! Gotta get down on Friday!

31 Days of Love Challenge

I think we can all compliment our men everyday physically. It'll make him feel sexier and manlier. Today, since it's Friday, (finally!) I think it's a great night for a date night out on the town! If you already had dinner in mind or this is last minute, you can always try this one tomorrow (: Sometimes I feel like I should let yall know what's coming ahead of time, but then I'd be giving the challenge away a day early lol...well on to the exciting part of the date night...

Day Twelve

Get ready for date night in different rooms or even better, different place (: This challenge is great specially for the couples that have been living together for a while. It'll make it feel like back in the day when you guys were just dating...the butterflies from the anticipation...you don't know what either of you is wearing and he gets to "pick you up". How sweet is this?!

We will get ready in different rooms, since luckily we have guest bathroom/bedroom and we don't have family/friends in this town. If we were in my hometown maybe I'd go to my mom's and get ready there =P ...oh the memories! Seems like just yesterday we'd spend hours talking on that bench in my parent's front porch delaying J's departure. Remember, just cause it's "date night" doesn't mean you have to go to a super fancy place...we are in fact going to Red Lobster, yay 4 course meal for only $14.99 #loveit

Well I hope this challenge brings a little spark back and reminds you of why and how you fell in love in the first place...don't forget to flirt with you man! You are on a date after all and these things shouldn't stop because we are married! Well there's today's challenge! Yummy!

31 Days of Love Challenge

I loved yesterday's challenge because it was about building up our significant other. This bible verse reminds me of it "so encourage each other and build each other up, just as you are already doing." 1 Thessalonians 5:11. I actually consider myself quite spiritual but do not put much of it on the blog because I understand not everyone is in the same boat, and that's life, so it's okay.

Day Eight

Serve his favorite meal. Come on! You know what he loves! ;)

Everyday is a great day to cook for your man but it takes a considerate wife to make his favorite meal at least once a week! Lol well at least that's what I aim for, and there is no day he will deny it! A man will not get tired of his favorite meal once I week, I can guarantee you that. You can even take the initiative to make it better than usual by transforming the atmosphere again like on our Friday night (: Serve a glass of wine, put nice music, some flowers, candles...you may think those details are more for our pleasure only, but he will feel the difference too. If you make your man feel like a king, he will start treating you like a queen!

J's favorite meal is actually one we discovered by looking up recipes! Nothing his mom made him before or anything my mom taught me, so I suggest looking up recipes of things your man likes like chicken, or crunchy meals, or spicy foods. That's exactly how we found it, he liked specific breadcrumbs and so I looked up a recipe with it and got it! Yum!

Well I hope tonight's challenge turns out to be a slight change to the usual Monday routine. Mondays can be a drag, specially if your man is off on the weekends, but you will certainly make his day and your relationship better by making his beloved plate! Let's make up

31 Days of Love Challenge
I hope my followers forgive me for not blogging yesterday...my reason was I was planning our 4th of July party and let me just tell you all that it was a success! (:
Now to make it up, I am posting both day challenges today considering yesterday's was fairly easy! Hope everyone had an amazing Independence Day celebration as well!

Day Four/Five

Thank him for all he does. Did he do something nice for you lately? Thank him for it. Did he do something you told him to do? Thank him for it. Has he not done anything extraordinary lately? Just thank him for supporting you or being your partner. The more you show appreciation, even for little things, the more he will WANT to do for you lol. Men love praise!

Plan a stay at home date. What's better than a stay at home date on a Friday night? ...especially when it's raining! This is YOUR chance to bring romance in the house! Cook something nice, or you can even get takeout but make it romantic with a few candles and some flowers! They really do bring ambiance. Dress up in a pretty dress, heels and your pearls...he will be surprised in a good way, to say the least! Play romantic music...watch a movie later? It can just end with dinner if you have a busy husband but I swear it will be a nice bonding moment.

Well I know we can do these two things today and maybe if you want you might want to make it a part of your life more often! I know I will try to do Day Four challenge everyday from now on. Make me proud ladies!
